It Ain't Easy Bein' The Champ
Yesterday we showed you some action from a recent WEW event in which G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Simply Luscious captured the fed's title by defeating former WWE Superstar Jazz. We questioned the tactics that Luscious used to win the belt...and now it seems that the shoe is on the other foot in the champ's first title defense later that same evening.
Take a look at Simply Luscious here as she sits against the steel barricade surrounding the ring. She doesn't look too happy. In fact, she seems to be in la-la land. It's no wonder...she's just had her throat slammed over the top of that barricade thanks to the challenger for her belt, fellow G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Angel "Riptide" Orsini.

A Nasty Angel
With Simply Luscious still reeling and trying to catch her breath, Angel proved that she could be just as vicious to her opponent as Luscious was when she was the challenger in her earlier match. It doesn't get much nastier than this! Apparently, just smashing Luscious' throat over the steel railing wasn't good enough for the violent Italian grappler. Now she's trying to crush the windpipe as she grinds a boot hard into the neck of the suffering champ.

Worth It?
Simply Luscious finally gets some relief from the brutal attack...only because Angel had to break the hold and get back to the ring before she was disqualified. The welcomed break allows Luscious a chance to massage the pain from her neck. But it's easy to see that the champ will be hurting for some time to come. We wonder what Luscious is thinking right about now. Our guess is that she's wondering whether being the champ is worth all this pain!
