The Ascendancy Of Rain, Part 2

G.L.O.R.Y. fan Ed Darcey follows-up today with the second part of his Rain POD...

We saw in yesterday's POD, that Rain had defeated the former WSU Women's Champion, Angel Orsini...and then assumed she would automatically be the #1 contender to face Mercedes Martinez for the title. However, in the final match of the first show, a competitor who had made a great impression on the WSU fans before Rain's arrival on the scene gave Mercedes all she could handle in an awesome bout. That wrestler was Canadian superstar Portia Perez.

Perez objected to Rain's automatic elevation to #1 status and demanded it be settled in the ring. Rain arrived for the match with Hailey Hatred and Jessicka Havoc, the WSU Tag Champs. But they were chased off by Martinez and Orsini...allowing Perez an unimpeded shot at Rain.

The match was a real barn burner, with Rain pulling out all the stops: chokes, hair pulls, her patented cross arm choke hold and double knees to the chest. She threw everything in her repertoire at her opponent! Perez countered with her speed and agility, keeping The Radiant One on the defensive for much of the match. Eventually, Rain caught Perez with a vicious boot to the midsection and was able to DDT the brunette Canadian for the pinfall. There is now no doubt that Rain is the top contender for the the WSU title.
