Hope She Wasn't Left-Handed...
Why is G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Jessie McKay in so much pain? [above] Well, she faced fellow G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Sara del Rey at SHIMMER's latest event in Berwyn, Illinois...that pretty much tells the story right there. Does anybody step into the ring and NOT end up in pain when Sara is in the opposite corner?!
But this match seemed to be a particularly painful one for the up-and-coming Australian wrestler. It started early on when Sara decided to attack Jessie's left arm. Did we say she "attacked"? We should have said that del Rey tried to brutalize, incapacitate and cripple McKay's arm!
Just check out Wally's pictures from the match below. When Sara saw that her arm bars and hammerlocks weren't getting the job done, the Death Rey became decidedly more vicious. Before long, she was stomping her boots into Jessie's left shoulder. Despite a desperate attempt to fight off the assault, Jessie eventually submitted to a nasty looking MMA-style arm bar that seemed on the verge of hyper-extending her elbow or even outright snapping the limb. One look at McKay as she was helped from the ring by the referee tells you all you need to know about how painful her situation was.
We sure hope that Jessie McKay was right-handed going into this match. If not, she is now!
