Roxie Gets Help...And Still Has A Bad Day!
Yesterday we showed you Roxie Cotton and her close friend (clown?) Rick Cataldo showing-off a fan sign that declared Roxie to be a "Triple Threat"...an expert at shopping, dancing and wrestling. We can't argue with the shopping and dancing part. But what about the wrestling? Well, let's take a look at how she did at that WSU match in Belleville, New Jersey, last month.
Roxie's opponent was Nicole Matthews (a future G.L.O.R.Y. Girl, by the way)...an athletic, high-flying newcomer to the wrestling scene. It didn't take long for Roxie to ground the new girl with her brawling, street fighting style of grappling as she pounded away with hard fists to the back and head of the brunette. Once in control, Roxie decided to have a little fun at Matthew's expense (below). Notice that satisfied smile on Cotton's face as she tortures her opponent over the middle ring rope?
Yet, even while she was in control of the match, Roxie's ringside partner couldn't help but interject himself into the match. Take a look at this clown as he works over poor Nicole...Roxie's distraction of the ref allows the creep to choke Matthew's from the ring apron. Hey Cataldo: how low can you get sneak attacking a girl from outside the ring? Instead of being a coward, why don't you step into the ring and face the lady in a legitimate one-on-one match?! Our money would be on Nicole to clean your clock!
Amazingly, even after being double-teamed and sneak attacked, Ms. Matthews was able to make a comeback. The high-flyer just about took her opponent's head off with a big dropkick that planted both boots right into Roxie's mush. Before long, Roxie was on her back and seeing stars as Matthews hooked the leg and covered her for the pin and the win. The end of the match found Roxie in what has become a common sight to G.L.O.R.Y. fans: sitting on the mat and wondering what happened, then crying after realizing she earned herself another loss. So much for getting help from that idiot Cataldo!
The good news for Roxie is that she can claim to be an expert on two of those three triple threats. Nobody shops or dances better...
