Betty vs. Betty!

Usually we see Annie Social and Roxie Cotton--a.k.a. WSU's Beatdown Betties--teaming together for tag competition and battering their opposition in rings across the Northeast. But it was "Betty vs. Betty" when the friends faced-off in West York, Pennsylvania, last month in a battle for New Elite Wrestling's first-ever Women's Championship.

Each woman's ring style is well-known by the other...which made for an interesting dynamic in this match. What kind of strategy do you employ to try to outsmart your foe when you both know what to expect?! Still, these G.L.O.R.Y. Girls went at each other with the enthusiasm generated by the possibility of capturing a new title belt.

The ladies put on a dazzling technical show from the opening bell. Headlocks were exchanged, chinlocks were used and arms were twisted. Roxie even had Annie near to tapping with a tight crippler crossface.

But as the match wore on, the partners' mutual respect for each other waned. Before long, technical expertise was thrown out the window and a full-blown brawl was in progress. We'll take a look at that tomorrow...
