The Beautiful People...Crowd Favorites?

The Beautiful People, Velvet Sky (G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Talia) and the newly crowned TNA Knockouts Champion, Angelina Love (G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Angel Williams), once again graced the Northeast Wrestling promotion at their Spring Fling show Friday night in Newburgh, New York. Last month, in their earlier foray for Northeast, they took the measure of the game, but less experienced, team of Amber and Alexus. This time they faced a considerably more formidable pair of adversaries: Roxxi (G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Nikki Roxx) and the Scream Queen, Daffney.
That last time The Beautiful People were in New York, their actions on the way to and in the ring exhibited a certain amount of disdain for the fans. That demeanor was, however, belied by their appearance not once, but three times, that evening to sign autographs and take photos with the fans, who they were most friendly towards.
Northeast fans must have remembered that, as The Beautiful People were the crowd favorites on this evening, something I don't think they are used to. But it seemed to spur the two women on, particularly Angelina, who came to the aid of Velvet, whom Roxxi and Daffney had decided to single out for punishment. After Roxxi escaped Velvet's abdominal stretch, the two brunettes pounded on Sky, until she was able to tag Angelina. Ms. Love reentered the fray with elbows flying scattering her foes. Daffney went for a suplex, but the wily veteran, Love, proving their was a reason she won the TNA belt, stopped her and rolled Daffney up in a small package for the win, much to the delight of the SRO crowd. And, The Beautiful People responded to this kindness by again staying after the show for another lengthy meet and greet. Who says a leopard can't change it's spots!
