Canadian-American Clash At WEW!
G.L.O.R.Y. fan and photog Ed Darcey was in the audience at Friday's WEW event in Philadelphia and he puts us right in the middle of the action with his pictures and description of the event. Thanks, Ed!
On Friday night in Philadelphia, WEW held its latest spectacular, featuring the return of April Hunter and a number of debuts!
An early theme was the Canadian Contingent, led by Klondyke/Jamie D, insulting America and the talent from the United States who were on the show. Nurse T, a victim of an earlier beat down from the Canadian brawler, took exception to the denigration. With the poor American about to suffer another beating, the native Philadelphian, Annie Social, along with AmyLee, ran to the ring to make the save. Seeing Klondyke in trouble, the Canadian Duo of Cat Power (G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Haley Rogers) and Danyah, along with Melissa Coates who had earlier lost to the All-American southern star, Amber O'Neal, proceeded to pound on Ms. Social.
Having seen and heard enough, fellow Philadelphia native and proud American, April Hunter, rushed to her friend's aid. After clearing the ring of the upstarts, the two Americans wanted a bit of revenge!
The melee led to a tag team match on the second half of the show: April Hunter and Annie Social vs. Danyah and Cat Power!
More WEW action tomorrow...
