Chaos At WSU Rumble!
Bodies were flying all over the place and chaos reigned during the Uncensored Rumble at last month's WSU event in Union City, New Jersey. Good thing G.L.O.R.Y. Girl fan Ed Darcey was there to take notes and snap some photos of the action...
The second half/DVD taping of WSU's latest wrestling extravaganza presented two extraordinary bouts for the fans in attendance. The final was the epic encounter between Mercedes Martinez and Alicia for the WSU World Women's Championship. The other was WSU's annual Uncensored Rumble...an "all hands on deck" free-for-all involving the entire roster (save Mercedes and Alicia).
As one would expect, it was quite a hectic scene in the ring. At any one time, there were alliances that lasted only momentarily. Nikki Roxx, an early entrant, was still feuding with Angel Orsini, also a very early entrant...but Roxx had to fend off her fellow New Englanders, The Boston Shore, as well. The Amazing Kong and Amy Lee renewed their battle, only to be eliminated simultaneously by an alert Orsini.
A number of the younger competitors made their presence felt, particularly up-and-coming Canadian talent Cherry Bomb, who lasted long into the match.
In the end, however, the wily veterans were those who were left standing. Belying her airhead reputation, Amber O'Neal smartly waited with patience outside the ring, assessing the situation before entering the fray. But after eliminating Daizee Haze, she herself was eliminated by Orsini. Rain was next deposited outside the ring, leaving Jazz and Angel...two erstwhile friends and tag partners. Jazz, however, was down on the mat and was nursing a leg injury. When Angel went over to check on her she was promptly tossed through the ropes by an obviously uninjured Jazz, earning her the coveted #1 contender status for the WSU Championship.
